Tommaso Savelli

Political Violence & Conflict Prevention Correspondent | Tommaso is an Italian Master’s student in International and Development Studies at the Geneva Graduate Institute, specialising in Conflict, Peace and Security. His research focuses on political violence, violent extremism and conflict prevention, with a particular interest in why violence emerges and how it can be prevented. He previously worked as a research assistant to Professor Shahrbanou Tadjbakhsh on the forthcoming Routledge textbook Understanding and Responding to Violent Extremism: A Multidisciplinary Framework. Alongside his studies, he collaborates with Resilience for Peace on research examining how resilience to violent extremism can be understood and measured, and serves as an Intern with the Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor. He holds a First-Class BSc in Politics and International Relations with Quantitative Methods from the University of Nottingham.
