Call for Papers: EU-UK Cooperation

Euro Prospects and the British Institute of Global Affairs (BIGA) invite submissions for a special joint issue exploring post-Brexit EU–UK strategic cooperation in foreign policy, security, and economic governance.

Amid a rapidly shifting geopolitical environment, the EU-UK partnership is entering a new phase of recalibration. A growing recognition of shared strategic interests is setting in. Against the backdrop of Russia’s war in Ukraine, shifting transatlantic dynamics, and mounting pressure on the rules-based international order, the future of EU–UK cooperation will be decisive in shaping Europe’s broader security and geopolitical resilience.

We welcome submissions on topics including:

• Finance
• Energy Security
• Coordination of Sanctions on Russia
• Neighbourhood Enlargement
• Joint diplomacy in the Western Balkans
• EU–UK non-traditional emerging global partnerships
• High North interests (eg., Arctic, Greenland, GIUK Gap)
• Civilian–industrial–military resilience
